Barack Obama is an extraodinary speaker, but can he deliver?

I myself am very inspired by Obama’s speeches. He is truly spectacular in providing hope to American citizens in this time of need. But the truth is, Hilary Clinton has much more experience, her policy proposals are far more intact and detailed than any policy that Obama has actually proposed. In reality, they’re views are about 99% the same, and it is that 1% that they focus on in their debates in order to secure their candidacy.

But I think a president needs to have experience…which Obama simply does not have enough of.

Don’t you think that Barack Obama would be a better president for 2012 or 2018?

Best term of office for Barrack Hussien Obama -> NEVER

  2. Rev. Cleophus says:

The Obama Express has been de-railed

It’s over, even if he and his supporters don’t yet realize it

  3. Mr Bill M says:

I would be inspired if he would deliver pizza. I may even give him a tip.

  4. jewels15 says:

    He is a con.

  5. black leopard says:

    no

obama also need to stop associating himself with unsavory characters

  6. FGC says:

maybe he should try to be speaker of the house since thats all he can contribute is “TALK”

  7. Jules Winnfield Royale w/Cheese! says:

Experience has helped us so much these past several years, hasn’t it?

  8. HILLARY 2008!!! says:

You’re right; he speaks well enough. However, knowing what we do about his tendency to plagiarize, one doubts he wrote those speeches himself. Looking at his debate record and inability to speak extemporaneously or wisely in public OR private, one doubts he will EVER be right for the presidency.

  9. ....... says:

Yeah he can deliver now. Not later in 2012 or whatever. Hitlery can do it then. For now Obama in my lifetime.

    Gee, thanx… :(

  10. Tim says:

I think Obama needs a lot more political experience. He currently does not know how government works at the federal level and as such cannot further his agenda. A run in 2012 or later would be better for him.

Sorry, Obama supporters, but he is a political lightweight.

  11. OMG, What a Question! says:

He is an extraordinary speaker only if he has the speech prepared for him and no, he cannot deliver. He is too much of a racist and socialist to represent the majority of Americans.

  12. SaabGuy328 says:

He’s an extraordinary speaker when he’s doing huge rallies and is able to read from a teleprompter. When he’s one on one and has to answer difficult questions he should have answers for like the last debate, he’s anything but inspiring. If he gets the nomination in 2008 and doesn’t win he doesn’t deserve a second shot.

  13. thrddg says:

When it comes to Obama, is it the messenger or the message, in this case it’s the messenger, think about this John Carey, H. Clinton, John Edwards are all but a hair bit different than Obama the only difference is that they are white and Obama leans even more to the left. Obama= higher taxes, more gov’t, amnesty for 20 million illegals, by the way you get to pay for it all. I want more for my children then that. No thanks. All of Obama’s charisma ends when he can’t read his answers of the teleprompter, err, umm er, umm hope/change.

  14. Indiana says:

two bit politician runing Chicago politics. He is exposed already! he is damage goods and the Obama train is surely to derail in these coming weeks

  15. Magnus says:

That’s the thing about Obama. He’s all show and no substance. The guy’s a great speaker and motivator, I’ll admit. But underneath that dapper exterior and purple lips lies a die hard socialist who will sink this country further than it has ever seen.

  16. Queen of Wands says:

I think he would be better in the future but his supporters will screech NO!!!!

  17. Mike says:

I do think that Barack Obama could be a better President in 2016. But Barack Obama will have to drop much of his extreme left wing ideology and he will have to demonstrate some ability to develop plans and successfully implement those plans to solve the challenges that we face.

If Barack Obama is successful at that, then he could become a possible future candidate for President.

  18. Right Wing Conservative Hawk says:

Barack is the classic snake oil salesman.. you believe him
to a point, But when it comes right down to it,,, reservations.

You just can’t get past that one thing that just bugs the hell
out of you. Trust it and run,,,,,No Bama

  19. whiskeyman510 says:

I think he would make a better President for Cuba or the former Soviet Union.

  20. acredhead113 says:

I think he needs to reconsider his position and realize that he is inexperienced and needs more seasoning. Will he be able to be a President it the future remains to be seen. He is very young and immature. He has some good ideas but not that will benefit everyone. He was taught to be a Muslim in early life and this will hinder him politically for years to come.

Just because you get into politics it is to your advantage to switch religions? I for one do not believe that he is honest and will say almost anything to become the nominee. When giving a speech it is all written out for him in advance but when someone asks a direct question he stammers and stutters making wonder what is true beliefs are!

  21. Drakestone says:

So far all I have seen is the fluff. That and the fact that he does not seem to notice that he has willingly associated himself with nutcases.

  22. vikki_bowdon@sbcglobal.net says:

Obama needs to back out now and gain some experience. Our country is in real trouble, and we need the strongest, most experienced president. That would be Hillary. Obama could learn alot from her, and be ready in the future

  23. beta_hat says:

You have to understand that neither Hillary nor Obama are really experts on policy. They have teams of economists, lawyers, etc. who are much better versed in the details. Obviously Obama would be a better candidate in 2012, but he is not THAT inexperienced. He has more experience as a legislator than Hillary (1997-now versus 2001-now for Hillary).

The key for any president is whether they have good judgment (as Bush says, “I’m the decider”), whether they can inspire the nation to come together on particular issues to pressure those lazy, useless people in congress to do something and overrun the special interests, and whether they can work with both houses to achieve compromise. As you mention, their policies are 99% the same, and while I actually prefer some of Hillary’s policies (her healthcare plan is better IMO) I think Barack has a better chance exceeding our expectations by inspiring legislators and citizens to work harder for change.
I don’t see any evidence that Hillary would be better than Barack in that department, but maybe I am missing some crucial piece of evidence?

  24. sandia m says:

Hillary was a Republican in her college years – So she has more Republican experience. Her husband Bill was somewhere in the middle of Republican and Democrat. After so many years of this type of government one may tend to believe this defines experience but it does not. I think it’s time to get on track and get away from all the garbage we have been exposed to for so many years…Yes..I do think Barack Obama can be President right now.

  25. Libby says:

President of a school board maybe, but that’s the closest he should come to a position that involves power. Inspirational?? He’s not a priest! He could be the next president of the United States, I personally could not care less if he is inspirational. He’s just saying what the American people want to here. He’s a politician- they lie, it’s what they’re good at. Can’t you people get it through your thick skulls that he’s saying all of these great things and he’s not going to do anything about them? He has a track record for that. The one and only thing the Clinton campaign is doing right is highlighting his inexperience and lack of trust when saying he will do something. To be honest, I don’t think Clinton or Obama should be let within fifty feet of the White House, much less run it.
One other thing- anyone who says they don’t support Obama is accused of being racist, like not supporting him is a cardinal sin. Obama hates white people, so I don’t see the difference?

  26. Blossom says:

Obama doesn’t have enough of anything to make him president !
