according to Professors of African and African American Studies in Harvard and other notable schools etc… they don’t consider Barry the Barrack Obama black for many reasons.

Sorry, already written in history books.

  2. Pro-Bama says:

This just gets better and better. We need experts to tell us that a man is half black, half white? How would you feel if people said YOU were incorrect in your categorization of your ethnicity? That’s just wrong.

    This is important how?

  5. gatorboymike says:

Alan Keyes will never win unless the 0.2% of the country that supports him splinter off and start their own nation. They can have prayer in schools if they want, while it stays illegal and unconstitutional here.

  6. Thomas SR says:

He LOOKS black, and that’s all that really matters to his shallow-minded followers.

  7. IndianaJohn says:

    who cares?

    It shouldn’t matter

  8. Did You Get That Memo? says:

According to Merriam Webster, he is mulatto. One black parent, one white parent.

  9. livefreeordie says:

    To quote from that article:

“It presumes that race is a real entity, something fixed, or natural. It seems to deny what scholars have laboured for decades to demonstrate – that the criteria used to classify people in racial categories, the categories used in a given society, and the uses to which those categories are put – vary by place and time. They are, as academics are fond of saying, “socially constructed”. ”

I am also mixed-race black and white. I self-identify as black because when people look at me, they see me, and treat me as, a black person. It’s a little presumptuous of these “experts” to say that Obama is not allowed to self-identify as black, even though he has obviously lived his life identifying as and being treated like a black man.

Michael Steele in 2012 100% Brotha!

“First president who is not 100% white” doesn’t sound as good.
