Given that the election is two and half years away, not much. A lot can change between then and now.

  2. u_bin_called says:

the key word in all of that is “hypothetical.”

what did Rasmussen show in 2002 as far as the most “likely” Democratic contenders to President Bush?

  3. Andy says:

I think people really need to take him seriously. I think more and more people are getting fed up. Pun intended.

  4. Rob says:

That’s interesting, but as the article points out, his favorable rating from Republican voters is relatively low, indicating he wouldn’t win the Republican primary.

  5. water_skipper says:

It’s irrelevent. The Republicans would never pick someone competent such as Paul in their primaries. They’d much rather pick a moron like Bush.

  6. Steve says:

Rasmussen, the one that all but guaranteed a McCain win?

I’ll believe it when I see it.

  7. Texas Joe says:

Rasmussen has ol Texas Joe beatin Pretty Boy Perry fer Governor of the Great State of Texas. That Rasmussen boy he just ain’t right.

  8. Elliott N says:

Interesting, but over 2 years away, a lot can happen. I saw a poll last night that had Obama ahead of Palin 56-42. Ron Paul is doing a lot better. It seems a lot of young people like Ron Paul; some of those supported Obama in 2008 but see Paul as a better alternative. Paul may be the only candidate who can inspire Libertarians and independents to support him. I know for a fact that he would sign a repeal of Obamacare if he gets a bill from Congress. I get his newsletters and my thinking parallels his on many issues. For the record Rasmussen did not have McCain ahead of Obama. He had Obama 52-46 and it was actually 53-46 which is statistically the same.
