If we had elected Hillary Clinton instead of Obama, would we be closer to serious health care reform today?
I voted for her in the primary for that reason.
I sort of like Barack better in some ways but I figured that since Hillary had seen the irrational responses to health care reform up close and personal and better understood the power of the Health Insurance companies to brain wash our citizens that she might be more of a fighter.

No, they share similar ideologies on health care. They would have taken very similar methods to guartanee health care reform pass, but it would have ended in the same way. A shitty bill that is unconsititutional and does not do anything. If you want universal health care you have to do it right.

They passed health care reform last month. Where have you been?
Hillary was always my first choice, if she were elected, I doubt we would have been this far along.
Hillary has already failed once on health care, Republicans would have had more ammo to buried it. They would have pulled out every stop to humiliate and weaken her.
The flip to this is, Hillary’s brilliant work as SOS. She has made Obama what he is today. Without her, he would be looking at one term.
