  2. Caribou "LIPS" Barbie© says:

    Palin = RNC 2008

    Obama = DNC 2004

  3. Robert K says:

    Palin at the RNC and I read an article about Obama in 2002

  4. Gypsy says:

    Palin, 3 months ago.. I could care less about Alaska, sorry but I’m in Florida and hurricanes are more important to me.

    Obama, about 21 months ago..

  5. not Prince Hamlet says:

    I first heard about Obama back in 2004. I live in Illinois, the state he represents, so I’m not 100% sure if was on national or local news that I heard of him. I do remember his “announcement” that it was time to support the Chicago Bears. Then later he ran for Senate.

    When CNN was speculating on her her as a possible VP choice for John McCain.

  6. One-Woman Economic Stimulus says:

    First time I heard of Palin was when McCain nominated her. First time I heard of Obama was several years ago while watching television and hearing a news report about his work in education reform.

  7. Jason S says:

    Palin… the day the news broke that she was nominated to be McCain’s running mate.

    Obama… harder to say specifically. When the press first began speculating about who might run for president. So probably late 2005.

  8. Pancho N Lefty says:

    Palin? About 6 months ago when some funny guy thought she would make a hot vice presidential candidate. No one said she was qualified.
    Obama? When he was running for US Senate and his opponent, a sleaze named Ryan dropped out due to a predictable Republican sex scandal so the Republican party brought in carpetbagger Alan Keyes who was a funny guy but who would make Clarence Thomas look like a liberal. But since I live in rural NH near the Canadian border and do not have a TV I was probably the last to learn of these two luminaries.

  9. Common Sense says:

    Obama was 3 or 4 years ago… nonstop for the past 2 years

    Palin was nonstop since the week of the RNC.. but she did speak during some of the primary debates, especially one where she said Clinton needed to stop using the woman card (the beginning of this year)

    John McCain… my stepfather was making jokes about him when I was in sixth grade (11 years ago)

    Joe Biden not until the primaries

  10. ?DIOR? says:

    sarah palin? uh 2 months ago
    obama? 2004 DNC
