Would Barack Obama ban the grouping of USA citizens into races?
Grouping citizens into races is illegal in countries like France, Germany, and China. And other countries, such as Canada, document “ethnicities” instead of races. Do you hope that Barack Obama will ban the grouping of USA citizens into races? I’m sick and tired of this nonsense already.
Patricia C, I mean also banning grouping USA citizens into races on census, and after they are dead (by forensic anthropologists).

I think it’s already banned because it’s against the law to ask people their race on anything in the USA.

Yet another person that thinks that the president can “ban” anything.
While there are executive orders, such a thing would be unlikely to be subject to one. Instead, something like this would come up as proposed legislation the usual way: via Congress. If it passed, then Obama would be asked to sign.
Not true. In China, they have many areas where certain types of people live. They are called minorities and are different types of people with different characteristics. The Han are the biggest group and are what most people consider Chinese and then there are hundreds of other types of categories. They are not looked down upon however they are clearly separate and even used as tourist attractions.
I have been preaching the fact there is no such thing as race for 25 years now.
So that would be fine with me, but you won’t see it here in America.
