Why would Americans vote for a man (Barack Obama) who associates with Bill Ayers, a known terrorist?
Bill Ayers, a known domestic terrorist, who regrets not setting off more bombs killing his fellow U.S. citizens, is one of Barack Hussein Obama’s buddies. Knowing that, Americans would vote for Obama for president. WHY?

Harold Simmons, accused forger and nuclear waste dumper is financing John McCain and his latest swift boat attack on Obama just as he financed the swift boat attack on John Kerry. If Americans hadn’t fallen for that one our financial system and our 401K’s may not have been decimated.
Simmons backs McCain for assistance in expansion of his nuclear waste facility. He will also seek payback when it comes time to contract the nation’s nuclear waste from the power plants McCain is advocating. Maybe that’s why McCain is so dead set on nuclear instead of wind and solar alternatives.

You need to educate yourself. Barack Obama has discussed the discrepancies in this relationship your talking about. On our local conservative radio show their was a round table discussion with both Democrats and Republicans, and the Republicans all agreed that the McCain camp does not want to go down this route pointing fingers at Barack because McCain has had dealings with many shady people in his past. Back to the drawing board.

I would like to retort that if the above alligations were indeed true of McCain they would be all over the left leaning media like fleas. Unfortunatley, all people care about is what Obama says he is going to do for them, which is tax rich people. The American society is getting to be lazier and lazier, wanting it all and resenting those who have more. Senator Obama first contact with Bill Ayers was at meetings which were being held to help find solutions to some of the problems that plague public schools in Chicago. Correct? In other words, Obama’s motive for having any association with Ayers at all was to make Chicago public schools better than they were 15- 20 odd years ago.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but Ayers has some sort of a degree in education and some experience with educational issues so it wasn’t exactly any radical agenda that he was laying out for improving the Chicago public schools. He wanted kids to have better educational opportunities, and his past criminality does not necessarily preclude him from working with others who have and had the same goal of improving public education for children in Chicago.
Working to make public education better does not absolve Ayers of his crimes, but neither does it make him a worse person nor does it make anyone who works with him on such matters as improving public education a bad person. You would have to be an idiot to believe in that causal connection.
But since we are on the topic of public education, what has Senator McCain ever done to improve public education? Wasn’t he one of the Senators that just voted against extending educational benefits to soldiers coming home from having served in Iraq and Afghansitan? Yeah, he was. He said, and this is close but not a direct quote, that to give these soldiers educational benefits would cause too many soldiers to leave military service to seek a college education. In other words, forcing them to re-up by denying them the opportunity of getting a first-rate education that would give them real career options is a bad thing in John McCain’s world. How much better that they should have simply the option of living or dying in Iraq or Afghanistan and possibly Iran if Senator McCain takes office.
