Does anyone else not care about the supposed relationship between Barack Obama & Bill Ayers?
In my opinion, the fact that these two know each other to some degree is irrelavent as far as this election goes. Besides, like Obama said himself: the dispicable acts that Bill Ayers commited happened when he(Barack Obama) was 8 years old! Why should it matter now?

i don’t . we all have people in our pasts that either did something dumb or has some crazy view doesn’t make them bad people. and who is the same person now they were 1 year ago or 5 or 30

Wow, if you don’t value ones character, values and demonstrated record then I hope you get what you vote for!
How do you excuse Obama as an adult for associating with Ayers, aligning with his radical ideology and accepting Ayers and his wife’s support in launching Obama’s state senate career? Ayers admitted he is neither reformed or remorseful what he did or believes according to his statements post-911. If you think twice about McCain, Palin or Joe the Plumber’s character and associations then you are admittedly biased.
The biggest thing that resulted from this vetting process is that some may actually trust Obama a little bit more. The other thing is that Ayers is now becoming a controversial figure again. He was scheduled to speak at the University of Nebraska but that speaking engagement was cancelled because he is an unrepentent domestic terrorist who was involved in the deaths of about 8 police officers and bombed some of our national buildings, and let off the hook because of illegal wire tapping. Why should such a person be given a prominent position in our society? Why should he be forgiven when he has never asked to be forgiven? Why would anyone make him man of the year? Joe the plumber has suffered more than Ayers did? Go figure.
I care a great deal.
The really stupid thing is that Obama tries to claim that he shouldn’t be held responsible for what Ayers did when Obama was only 8 years old. That’s just ridiculous! Obama was a grown man when he worked with Ayers, was a friend of Ayers and lived on the same street as Ayers. Their kids even played together. Ayers was a known terrorist and was unrepentant. When Obama and Ayers were friends, Ayers was in the news stating that he wished he had done MORE BOMBINGS. The only reason he wasn’t locked up in prison forever was because he got off on a technicality because the FBI used an illegal wire tap. His case got thrown out. Ayers is a horrible person and has done horrible things. It’s just amazing that Obama brushes off his friendship with Ayers. Do you really think that you could become friends with Osama Bin Laden 20 years from now and still run for president without taking heat for it? WAKE UP PEOPLE !!!
Yes, the bombings were 40 years ago… BUT, Ayers said that he was happy for 9/11 and that he wished we had more bombs coming. This was fairly recently! Not only that, but Obama invited Ayers into his life… in 1995, when he was writing his book ‘stories of race and inheritence.’ Does this not disturb you one bit?? Really?? That Obama would SEEK OUT this man who is a famous terrorist?
if his connection was suspect why didn’t they say anything before he was elected to the senate THEY KNEW and most of us didn’t know who ayers was, if they has a problem why didn’t say something then.only when he wants to pursue a higher postion then it comes out.

Its because that as of recently of 2002, Bill Ayers has said that he is not sorry for the murderous acts he committed years ago and said that he wishes he had done more. Making him an unrepentant and dangerous self-recognized terrorist. And as of that date, Barack Obama was certainly not a child and he was working for ACORN and had known Bill Ayers by that time as well.
That is, amoung other reasons, why his relationship to Bill Ayers and his wife should be called into question. Especially as Bill Ayers, Barack Obama, and the organization ACORN all have ties to one another.
