    @JessicaLeader but they can’t do that! it’s SOCIALISM god forbid a system that works in the top countries in the world would work in america. but that’s their mentality I guess.. I sincerely hope public services will become one of the best parts of america one day. Lots of people desperately need it, as we canadians take for granted so often.

  4. johnfm1061 says:

    In order to fix something, you have first build it. Health Care is now built and will continue to be improved.

  5. Flyborg says:

    @youthgw I thought that was a parody because of how generic it was and how it had nothing to do with the video, but now I fear you were being serious. :(

  10. JessicaLeader says:

    I wish we paid more taxes. Think about it. You’re paying a LOT on money in order to get health care. What if your taxes were raised a little bit so you could just receive healthcare. There was no grey area- you were covered no matter WHAT. People in Europe laugh at us. They all give their people free healthcare with higher taxes but they get what they pay for. I wish America would wise up. I love my country, but sometimes we’re so stubborn.

    @Giveaways4Runescape – Funny how you call ME an idiot but you can’t even spell correctly. IT’S YOU’RE not YOUR – YOU ARE = YOU’RE … Now that we established that – China owns MOST of our DEBT that means they OWN MOST OF US, OUR COUNTRY. I was making a sarcastic comment based on the Chinese videos I saw in the right rail. I can see you are another blind Obama supporter.

    Fuckin’ spot on!

  13. bsharker says:

    OBAMA MATH:

    Spending more money = Less deficit

    Borrowing more from China = Strengthens our dollar

    Forcing businesses to pay higher premiums = healthier businesses

    Stealing more money from the evil rich = The rich will still have infinite money at their disposal

  14. battycrease1992 says:

    @JessicaLeader That’s fine but free healthcare is most beneficial to the poorest who can’t afford private schemes. Therefore if you raise taxes and “get what you pay for”, then the poorest are hit hardest. They don’t want yet more tax for healthcare. They can”t afford it. And your small increase in tax is pretty delusional, how could it just be a “small” increase, why small? Surely it would have to be a large increase.

  15. lowbottomranch says:

    all americans should have healthcare, the richest nation in the world and our working poor and middle class, loose their homes becasue of illness, is just plain nuts. We need a public option, at least this was a start, something the rethugs would have never even started on, since they own their jobs to the insurance industry

  16. JacobR248 says:

    The government has had 50 years to supposedly fix health care, they have failed. 50 years ago, people didn’t have insurance to cover every little expense. 50 years ago, people would shop around for the cheapest and the best medical care around. Unfortunately, because of government subsidizing and laws bias towards insurance companies nobody cares how much a medical procedure will cost. I mean imagine if we bought food like we buy health care, with insurance.

  17. Giveaways4Runescape says:

    @angelsoulnme Your an idiot. Look it up, China owns most, but not by much. Japan is #2, and guess what, Germany, Canada, and U.K. are very high up there as well. Get educated first.

  18. shaemina says:

    With so many ‘right’ ways and ‘wrong’ ways it’s hard to say which is the best way, but he seems to be trying to work with difficult people for reform. Not an easy thing to do in government. I appreciate that he’s trying though, good to know someone -might- care about us little people.

  19. JacobR248 says:

    @JacobR248
    Obama needs to read Knowledge And Decisions by Thomas Sowell or he could possibly read the 10th amendment, because our constitution does not say that the Federal government can set up organizations like medicare and medicade.

  20. JacobR248 says:

    @JacobR248
    We’d be buying 200 dollar wine instead of 5 dollar wine. We’d be buying steak each night instead of ground meat. We’d be buying the most expensive things, because it’s not our money. The insurance will pay for it. Surgeries that aren’t cover by insurance like cosmetic ones have dropped in price significantly over the past few years. Do you know why? It’s because people shop around for the best price. If one doctor is over priced, he or she will go to another one.
