thank you.
@SamFisherCT I’ve been following this news for the past few weeks.. maybe even months. Do you know what led up to this recent round of decisions, and why?
Yes, I believe the dems have been acting spineless and have given in to a lot.. but do I give up on Obama as a president for it. NO. Why? Because he’s actually doing something about it all.. He’s trying to come to a compromise…which most politicians never fairly participate in. He’s a different kind of leader, and I respect that.
@SamFisherCT and in terms of doing too much at once.. maybe, but as president you have to do that. it’s the nature of the job. you have a whole administration backing you so you COULD do it. and i’ve heard criticism saying he isn’t doing enough. everyone has their opinions. i just want to see him have his time to do what he is capable of as president and people to get off of his back about every single little thing, and actually contribute towards acting resolving things.
Time for Obama to resign.
@SuperMcha Oh yeah. I forgot that adding billions of dollars to our debt for a stupid healthcare plan that will tank was helping the economy.
I don’t get my news just from youtube. I read USA Today, The New York Times, and other newspapers daily. Get facts before you accuse. And get some sense and stop being like the very few people left who still believe that voting for him was the right choice. The man is a disaster in office. He has done the opposite of all his campaign points. Pay attention
@SuperMcha Major leaders are starting to say they are concerned too that he is not “strong enough to confront the enemy or protect his friends”. and again on the healthcare topic, he gave 5 states deals on healthcare. And one of them was Harry Reid’s. What a coincidence! This is pure union politics and I think it’s disgusting. So quit hiding behind the veil that everything will be okay if given time and realize I’m not saying I want him to fix it faster, I’m saying he’s WORSENING IT. NOT FIXING.
@SamFisherCT i’m surprised that if you really have been getting all your news from these sources that you should have such a one-sided view of the entire spectrum of what’s been going on. i didn’t mention anything about my assessment of his performance in office but go ahead and assume..
but honestly, if you really want to know.. i think considering what he was handed he is doing a pretty damn good job. it’s funny how people blame him for all that’s gone on when so much of the damaged occurred before he came into office. pay attention huh? that’s laughable..
but i am glad he has the balls to actually do something about healthcare…which by the way involves mechanisms to help the economy.. not tank it as you said. but you can selectively believe whatever you want.
Sorry, no dream act until the borders are fixed. Fuck all
@SuperMcha Oh lord. You have no idea. Did you even know that 3 cabinet secretaries in his administration are ex-lobbyists? There are about 40 total “ex” lobbyists in his administration as of late.
sure he had to be a “politician” and make deals in order to get the healthcare bill passed, and it’s not perfect. but at least it’s a step towards something.
i don’t know about expanding coverage leading to higher costs.. that doesn’t make any sense to me. i’d think that expanding coverage would eventually lead to a decrease in costs as people would be able to afford healthcare.. and not leave hospitals high and dry with the bill.
lol.. hiding? assumptions again. funny though.
@SuperMcha at ALL of them. This is an extremely poor idea. And the healthcare plan is going to be a serious disaster for the country. Don’t give me that bullshit. Most of the country wanted to deal with costs for healthcare, not expansion of coverage. His expansion of coverage will raise costs dramatically. Have you seen polls? At the beginning of him, the democrats were ahead something like 52 to 30. Now the republicans are ahead 48 to 44. NEVER has anyone seen anything so dramatic.
@SamFisherCT He is doing a great job under adverse conditions working with the party of NO.
@SamFisherCT and what if they are? they’re all politicians and in that game. bound to be some ex-lobbyists in the mix.
@GrandFunker school districts and emergency rooms aren’t closing because of illegal immigrants.. maybe you should reexamine this issue before you spout off nonsense. we have a broken healthcare system that is unnecessarily excessive and boggled down by bureaucracy and school system that is neglected by government officials in terms of funding and political will.. and what is being illegal any way when our world should just be one land.. owned by all. don’t feel so fucking entitled.
And my god, how fast do you think change really takes place. It’s been 2 years! This was a problem that took decades in the making. We’re all so about instant gratification, and need to learn how to low down and be reasonable and realistic about this change that we all so expect.
And really pay attention to what else came along with the decision to extend tax cuts.. he was able to also extend unemployment insurance for those who have been out of work and unable to find work as well.
@SuperMcha Do you read newspaper? Because one of the healines of today’s USA Today that I just finished reading is how Obama has just agreed to extent the Bush tax cuts another 2 years. This is an EXTREMELY conservative view, and during his campaign he said he would change it to target the tax cuts to people with income lower than 250,000 dollars. How’s all that hope and change for you doin? He’s failing the democratic agenda and at the same time helping the republican agenda. Great voting, USA.
@SamFisherCT if you’ve actually been paying attention.. and not just getting all your news source from youtube.. you’d know that he is!
@SuperMcha Really now. Do you honestly think he’s been doing a great job? I know people are blaming him for things that happened before his presidency, but what about the things he has done in the White House? One example would be by putting MAJOR lobbyists in his inner circle after campaigning with the ideal that he would keep them out. And the problem is, he’s trying to do TOO MUCH at once. He could have said “okay let me deal with these one at a time” but instead he’s throwing himself
@SamFisherCT He’s doing the best job that he can under the circumstances. He’s not performing as president in a vacuum. The republicans have a majority. They are acting like babies because of it. I want to see Obama tell them to fuck off but that’s really not reasonable to do. I understand that. In regards to the lobbyist issue – he did apologize. He admitted it was a gross oversight.. and I don’t think the lobbyist even got the position within his administration right?
