What is the real motivating force behind the Republican Party’s hatred of Barack Obama?

Is it due to Barack Obama’s overwhelming popularity around the world.

Is it racism?

Is it the fact that they cannot field a Candidate that anyone can get excited about?

  1. Nixon says:

Most liberal member in the senate and the most inexperienced man to ever run for this office might have something to do with it.

  2. Tom T says:

It is because they know he is the better candidate.

  3. geniepiper says:

None of those. It is just the usual Republican dirt machine. They do it to every Democratic Presidential candidate.

  4. Ed Z says:

They are afraid he will succeed and make them look bad.

  5. Common Sense says:

    Here is a real good reason;

Obama only logged 143 days in the Senate prior to launching his presidential campaign. That doesn’t allow much experience for running a committee… or a country.

  6. BrewerB says:

The media treats Obama like Monica treated Bill and there are alot of stained dresses on CNN and MSNBC.

  7. John Dillinger says:

I think it is due to the fact that he will beat them and that he might even expose what they have been up to in secret.

The owners of the republican party really hate the idea that they might get taxed to pay for the war instead of just making the average citizens pay for it.

  8. Lawyer X says:

They’re not motivated by hatred of Obama. They’re motivated by love of power. They pulled the same kind of crap with Kerry, Gore and Bill Clinton, and would have with Hillary Clinton if she were the nominee.

  9. George says:

Taxes. Money. People vote with their pocketbooks.

“Change, it’s all you’ll have left after an Obama presidency.”

By the way, when Obama was running for senate in Illionois, his Republican competitor was Alan Keyes, an AFRICAN-AMERICAN that most Republicans would have ENTHUSIASTICALLY voted for.

Stop with this self-victimizing, self-imposed racism garbage.

  10. todbod says:

I am unsure how you define hatred, it seems Obama supporters love the word and apply it liberally. I don’t see the Republican Party or any other party “hating” Obama. Perhaps they think he is a phony, back stabbing and lazy, but I do not think anyone haes him.

  11. Mr reality says:

his hate for america, as judged by church affiliation

  12. weirdjade27 says:

Because Obama is the party opponent. You don’t think they could like him do you? It could also have something to do with that if Obama is elected then he’ll undo all of the Republican’s so called “progress” over the last 8 years.

it might be racism in a small margin of people. The GOP does some wonderful racists in their camp.

  13. Straight To The Point says:

What hatred? The Obamamaniacs sound more and more desperate, as they know that the nation’s “silent majority” prefers McCain.

  14. capeshoregroup says:

Only extremist use the words “hate” to describe someone.

Republicans don’t “hate” Obama. We disagree with anyone who lacks experience, accomplishments and who is propped up by the main stream media. We also disagree with candidates whose closest friends are blatantly Anti American.

We see through the BS that Obama is.

McCain may not be the most exciting candidate to represent the Republican party, but he isn’t the divisive candidate Obama is.

  15. dlk says:

The man is pure socialist/marxist…..listen to his speeches, I mean REALLY LISTEN. If his plans were to be implemented, socialist plans and global plans, OUR COUNTRY WILL NOT EXIST. What do you NOT understand.

I must say, you should study the world since a lot of European Country’s who are socialists are finding out it DOES NOT WORK, and are trying their best to change to a more capitalistic society where people’s dreams and achievements do make a difference.

  16. WQ says:

a desire to win at any cost
    (for some at least)

  17. Barack Hussein Blows Badly says:

its not racism anymore than you people on the left would be crying “OREO” if Condolezza rice was running. BTW: I love condi, would vote for her in a second….do you like Condi? Oh maybe you’re RACIST

  18. oooo says:

It is not the man it is his socialist agenda,so you can stop with the Hatred & Racist thing it is getting very old.

  19. Detractor is in DeBarn says:

Trying to keep their hands on the wheel and their fatåsses in the driver’s seat. They’ll stop at nothing just to achieve this.

  20. Corkey says:

It is really simple. It is because we don’t believe in socialism or Communism. The popularity you thought you seen in Germany might of been because of the free concert the Hussein obama camp put out. Most don’t even know who this boy even is

  21. Last Ranger says:

BHO’s policies would bankrupt the country.
And, playing the race card has no merit.
Not supporting obama does not translate to being a racist.
    That is a lame argument.
If that is his only qualification, he’s toast.

  22. Rupert G says:

Sorry, it is not the Republican party.
It is any American who loves his country, is proud of his country and wants it to remain free.
Obama has revealed that he is a racist, elitist, America hater. Every time the skeletons slip out of the closet the cleaning crew push them back in.
Who is funding this phenomenon anyway? Somebody is investing astronomical sums to buy the next American president and the Leader of the Free world. All the Islamic nations who hate America love this guy and believe him to be their brother.
How can any reasonable, thinking person not be alarmed?

  23. Louis S says:

Why would you think it’s just the Republican Party, and why would you label it “hatred”? Is this what Jeremiah Wright and his supporters, like Obama, believe….that “hatred” is the order of the day ? Not being a Republican, I can tell you how this former Democrat (now Independent) feels about Obama – - and it does not involve hatred. These are the true words to describe what people who have not been schmoozed by him – really feel: he can’t be trusted, he is inexperienced, his close associations with anti-white, anti-Americans is troubling, his negative statements about small-town America show a disrespect for the country, he wants to restrict our right to own firearms, his Global Poverty Act is designed not to help America but to give taxpayer dollar$ to the United Nations for distribution outside our nation. Need I go on ?

  24. Raidermom says:

I don’t think you really want an honest answer. You just want someone to agree with your belief that Obama is perfect.

  25. Dylan Fujii says:

Well since he is more popular, people are saying anything that makes him look bad even no ESPECIALLY if its not true. They say he goes to a racist church, but because what is written in the self contradicting Bible, you can give anyone flak for being sexist if you go to church. Plus, scratch all the racist s*** out of Rev. Wrights speech, and he kinda has a point. We are a terrorist nation, or at least have a terrorist government.

  26. KIZIAH says:

The motivating force is that they are in danger of losing control of our government. They are desperate. They will use all manner of attack against Barack Obama. People should be sick of the Republicans by November if they aren’t already after eight years of Bush and promises of more of the same from McCain!

  27. Tax but no tax says:

Is it possible that it’s because Obama just plain isn’t qualified and everyone not drinking George S. brand Kool Aid knows it?

Is it possible that it’s because Obama can’t talk unless he has a teleprompter in front of him?

Is it possible that it’s because he apparently has no core values and changes his responses according to whichever of his advisers talked to him last?

Is it because a lot of us just don’t want to see the economy wrecked by naivety?

Best of all, could it be because we don’t want to see $12 gasoline?

How about because we are tired of sending 700 billion dollars a year to our enemies because Democrats refuse to objectively do anything about our energy dependence on our enemies?

Do you need more? I can give them if you have the time and open your mind.

  28. Bruno says:

Could be racism. But I think is much more than that. The biggest fear is what Mr. Obama’s government will bring. Even me, despite my no sympathy attitude toward conservative republicans have the inner feeling that a President Obama, if he gets elected, will open a “pandora box” in this country that will not be able to close it again. Just like President Roosevelt “opened” one that brought a more powerful federal government in Washington, and President Kennedy’s one brought a more daring and challenging 1960s. But these are just simple speculations, I am not sure. Maybe I am wrong. But something tells me we are headed to some challenging time ahead whoever gets elected.

  29. piggy_smallz says:

Fear that a Bi Racial American can finally unite this Nation when so many dont want Unity. Unity means we as a Nation, roll up our sleeves and get to work. Corporate America and Big Business wouldnt like Prosperity for all. Its the Have’s vs the Have Nots and once the “Have’s” see a united Country, it takes away their most important ally.. Race Baiting. Its easier to fool the simple minded into thinking its about White Power, Black Pride, ect ect ect when it really is about 1% of the Nations wealth, being controlled by 1% of the nation. Keep the people fighting each other, theres profit in division, not in Unity
